Join us on Wednesday, March 9th at 4pm to learn how to download ebooks for free through the library. If you have a smartphone, tablet, or e-reader (such as a Kindle or Nook), come join us! Participants should bring their device (fully charged), their library card, and library pin number.

The Library Friends will be showing a free movie for all on Sunday, February 28th at 1:30pm. Come watch Selmain the Smart Community Room and enjoy this historical drama based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches. The movie, released in 2014, features David Oyelowo as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
We have something new in the children’s section of the Sidney Library, just past the puppets. Check out our bookshelf of pamphlets, books, and other resources that all relate to parenting. With everything from baby food recipes to books about teenagers, we hope you find something helpful.
Our nutrition workshops continue through the end of February. The Healthy Children Healthy Families series of workshops is every Wednesday night from 6 – 7:30pm in the Smart Community Room. Stop by and get some healthy snack and meal ideas, and learn about games and activities for your family.
Pysanky is a 5000 year old art form used to decorate eggshells using wax-resist. On February 27th from 1-3pm you will have the chance to learn this process. We are honored to host a pysanky workshop by award winning artist Mia Sohn. All participants will take home at least one completed egg.

This workshop has a $20 fee which covers the cost of materials.
